Journeyman Engineer

MTA, Inc., a Woman Owned Small Business with corporate headquarters in Huntsville, AL, is accepting resumes from qualified candidates for the position of Journeyman Engineer.

This position will:

  • Perform reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) analyses of weapon systems to include forecasting, predictions, and assessment of performance specification parameters such as Mean-Time-Between System-Abort (MTBSA).
  • Support acceptance and inspection activities for assigned weapon systems to include in-process inspections, first article testing, acceptance test inspections, and validation of acceptance test procedures and special inspection equipment
  • Support FRACAS activities and maintenance analysis on various weapon systems.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to construct reliability block diagrams, formulate reliability expressions and synthesize system reliability models.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 4 years experience in a task related field.

Weapon system experience is a plus.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance at the required level.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Senior Engineer

MTA, Inc., a Woman Owned Small Business with corporate headquarters in Huntsville, AL, is accepting resumes from qualified candidates for the position of Senior Engineer.

This position will:

  • Provide RAM analysis to include analyzing system architecture and development of reliability and maintainability allocations and predictions at the LRU level as well as Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs) using RAM modeling tools and failure rate prediction methodology.
  • Provide expertise to perform detailed and complex calculations, and have knowledge of practices and principles necessary to assess advanced systems concepts, assess specifications, and perform system integration in support of systems design, development, integration, testing, and evaluation.  Activities may include providing product assurance expertise and recommendations as it relates to the execution of quality programs and procedures for weapon system programs.
  • Support root cause and corrective action activities related to weapon system and component during hardware fielding.
  • Support, review, and monitor the acceptance and inspection activities for assigned weapon systems to include in-process inspections, first article testing, acceptance test inspections, and validation of acceptance test procedures and special inspection equipment.
  • Perform statistical trend analysis and develop analytical methodologies in support of failure review board and FRACAS activities, and recommend corrective measures for deficiencies.
  • Provide product assurance expertise and recommendations for engineering changes and Material Review Boards.
  • Review and provide input regarding disposition of non-conforming material.  Support Material Review Board activities to monitor trends and root cause/corrective action status.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution and 15 years experience in a task related field of expertise at the program or project level in major weapon systems acquisition or sustainment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance at the required level.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
